Purchase terms

Distance contract for digital content purchased at scale-interiors.com. The Seller is Alise Jēkabsone, trading as SCALE INTERIORS (the Seller). The person purchasing a guide is referred to as the Buyer.

Seller’s address: Stabu iela 59-2, Riga, LV-1011, Latvia.
Contact: work@scale-interiors.com, +371 26468462.
Business website: scale-interiors.com.

1. General terms

1.1. The Seller agrees to supply the interior design guide selected by the Buyer in PDF format (the Guide), and the Buyer agrees to pay the price shown in the order. This is a one-off purchase, not a subscription.

1.2. The Buyer selects a Guide code and language: Latvian or English. MC01 and MC02 contain 17 pages; WO01 and CF01 contain 19 pages. Content includes an interior concept, visualisations, a sample room layout, colour and finish recommendations, furniture, lighting and accessory selections, a shopping list with indicative prices and retailer links, and implementation advice. The specific Guide’s content and preview are available on its product page.

1.3. The Guide is not a bespoke interior project or construction documentation. The price does not include furniture, materials, surveys, individual consultation, project adaptation or supervision of works.

1.4. The purchase contract is concluded upon successful payment. The terms accepted at the time of purchase and the relevant Guide description apply to that order. Later changes to these terms do not change an existing contract without the parties’ agreement.

2. Ordering and delivery

2.1. Before payment, the Buyer checks the Guide code, language, price and delivery email address and reads these terms. Order details can be corrected before confirming payment.

2.2. After successful payment, the Seller automatically emails the order confirmation, purchase reference and PDF download link to the address provided without undue delay. No later than the start of supply, the email also provides the contract terms and confirmation of the Buyer’s express consent to immediate supply and acknowledgement of losing the right of withdrawal, in a form the Buyer can retain.

2.3. The download link is valid for seven days from creation. After expiry, the Buyer may request free renewal; the Seller verifies the purchase before renewing it. Link expiry does not limit the right to retain and use the PDF already downloaded.

2.4. Delivery requires email and internet access; opening the file requires a device with a PDF-compatible app. A downloaded file can be read offline; retailer links require internet access. The download link is not intended for public distribution.

2.5. If the email has not arrived, check the spam folder and contact the Seller. If the order contains an incorrect email address, we will help correct it and resend the link after verifying the purchase. An email-address error does not by itself remove the Buyer’s right to receive the paid Guide.

3. Price and payment

3.1. The final price of each Guide is EUR 65, including all applicable taxes and digital delivery. No additional tax or delivery charge is added at checkout.

3.2. The Buyer pays using the methods offered on the payment page. The Guide is supplied after receipt of the full payment. A declined or incomplete payment does not by itself entitle the Buyer to receive the file.

4. Immediate supply and withdrawal

4.1. A consumer normally has 14 days from conclusion of a digital-content contract to withdraw from it. For digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, the exception in paragraph 22.13 of Latvian Cabinet Regulation No. 255 on distance contracts applies when all its conditions are met.

4.2. To receive the Guide immediately after payment, the Buyer personally ticks an initially unticked consent box before paying, expressly consenting to supply beginning before the end of the 14-day period and acknowledging that the right of withdrawal will be lost when supply begins. General acceptance of terms or payment alone does not replace this express consent and acknowledgement.

4.3. The withdrawal exception applies only after supply has begun, provided prior express consent and acknowledgement have been obtained and the Seller has supplied the confirmation required by paragraph 17 of that Regulation. If any condition is unmet, the Seller does not rely on this exception. If the right of withdrawal remains, the Buyer may email an unequivocal withdrawal statement identifying the purchase to the Seller; statutory periods and additional withdrawal options remain unaffected.

You can also submit a withdrawal notice using the “Withdraw from contract” online form. Review your details and select “Confirm withdrawal”; confirmation of the notice content and receipt date and time will be sent to the email provided. Receipt alone is not a refund decision and does not restore withdrawal rights already lawfully lost.

4.4. Loss of the right of withdrawal does not waive statutory rights if the Guide is not supplied, is damaged or does not conform to the contract and product description. Sections 7 and 8 of these terms apply in those circumstances.

5. Copyright and use

5.1. Protection of the Guide’s original text, visual materials and design is governed by the Latvian Copyright Law, including Sections 14 and 15. Purchase does not transfer copyright to the Buyer. Third-party images, trademarks and other materials belong to their respective rights holders; these terms do not grant the Seller rights over others’ works or ideas as such.

5.2. You may use the Guide to implement your own interior.

5.3. You may not resell the PDF or copies of it, distribute it publicly or present it as a guide you created. You may share the information needed for the work with people involved in implementing the project.

5.4. These conditions do not restrict permitted-use exceptions provided by copyright law.

6. Product links and suitability for your space

6.1. If a furniture, lighting or accessory purchase link in the Guide does not work, or the item is unavailable, at the time of purchasing the Guide, the Buyer should notify work@scale-interiors.com, identifying the Guide code, purchase reference and relevant item or page.

6.2. At no additional charge, the SCALE team will find another retailer where the item is available. If production or sale has been discontinued and the item is no longer available, we will suggest an alternative consistent with the Guide’s concept, considering function, dimensions, visual character and price range.

6.3. The alternative’s price and specifications may differ. Third-party product ranges and delivery terms may change. This assistance does not restrict statutory rights concerning non-conforming digital content.

6.4. Furniture, lighting, material and accessory prices stated in the Guide are indicative and reflect information available at the price-reference date or period specified in the Guide. Retailers set their prices independently of SCALE INTERIORS; prices may increase or decrease, including through promotions and discounts. A price stated in the Guide is neither a binding retailer offer nor a guarantee by the Seller that the item will be available at that price. A subsequent retailer price change does not, by itself, constitute non-conformity of the Guide with the contract or oblige the Seller to compensate the price difference. The Buyer checks the retailer’s current price before purchasing an item. This clause concerns prices of products featured in the Guide, not the purchase price of the Guide itself, and does not restrict statutory rights concerning incorrect or misleading information.

6.5. Before ordering products or starting work, check dimensions, configuration, current prices, availability and suitability for the specific space. Technical design or specialist assessment, where needed, must be arranged separately.

7. Supply and conformity

7.1. The Seller is responsible for supplying the Guide and its conformity with the contract under the Latvian Consumer Rights Protection Law, including Sections 16.¹–16.³ and 30.¹–30.³. A preview or the informational nature of the content does not remove this responsibility.

7.2. If content is not supplied, the Buyer may require supply; if it is non-conforming, the Buyer may require it to be brought into conformity free of charge, within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience. In the circumstances provided by law, the Buyer may request a price reduction or termination and a refund. Claims are considered and refunds made according to statutory procedures and time limits.

7.3. The Guide is a ready-made interior concept; the result in a particular space also depends on dimensions, site conditions and execution. It does not promise an identical result in every space. This explanation does not exclude responsibility for incorrect or misleading descriptions, content defects or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Assistance, complaints and disputes

8.1. If the file cannot be downloaded or opened, has not arrived or presents another problem, email work@scale-interiors.com. Include the purchase reference and describe the issue; attach a screenshot if possible. If the reference is unavailable, provide the purchase email and date. A screenshot is not a prerequisite for considering a claim. Do not send payment-card details.

8.2. The Seller responds to written complaints within 15 working days of receipt under Section 26.¹ of the Latvian Consumer Rights Protection Law. If objective reasons prevent this, the Seller promptly explains the reason and a reasonable extension of the response period in writing.

8.3. Disputes are first addressed through discussion. If no agreement is reached, a consumer may contact the Consumer Rights Protection Centre, use applicable out-of-court dispute resolution procedures or apply to a competent court. Latvian law governs the contract without removing mandatory consumer protection or rights concerning court jurisdiction provided by applicable law.

8.4. Processing of personal data needed to fulfil the order and communicate is described in the privacy notice. A purchase is not, by itself, consent to marketing emails.
